The Pharos office building in Hoofddorp is an impressive sight in more ways than one. According to concept by consultancy firm De Nieuwe Draai, Pharos should become Europe's healthiest work community. The concept, guided by the circular economy, is based on four pillars: maximum health, total energy, zero waste and vibrant community. The flooring includes dark-coloured bamboo and a rich ochre-yellow saxony carpet from LEOXX's COLOR BOOKS collection: the Silky Blush. Silky Blush also ties in with the Pharos concept in terms of environmental performance. Among other things, it is formaldehyde-free, climate-neutral and GUT-certified, making it suitable for projects built in accordance with BREEAM or LEED.
