Jabo's origins are in Genemuiden, the heart of the carpet industry. The name Jabo is a combination of the first two letters of founder Jan Bosman's first name and last name. In 1953, he developed the broadloom woven sisal carpet by mixing coconut and hemp fibers. This groundbreaking invention formed the basis of Jabo and of our enduring love of natural materials.
